Blogging has always been passion ever since you were in high school.
Your friends would often tease you because you had no time to hang out with them.
Right after school, you were so eager to get home because you couldn’t wait until you write a new blog post for your site.
As soon as you get home, you run up to your bedroom, and write your blog.
Whenever you’re working on your blog, it feels like everything is in its right place. It feels like nothing can go wrong.
Your family knew how serious you were about blogging, which is why they never disturb you when you are at your work zone.
You never failed to update your blog. The obvious answer would be because you just love blogging.
That was before.
Don’t get me wrong.
I know that you still love blogging as of now, but it’s just not the same anymore. I’m not talking about your passion. I’m talking about your blog.
It’s becoming harder and harder for you to maintain it.
I know deep down, you wish you had more time to work on your blog, but I’m afraid that it’s just not doing it.
I don’t blame you though. I mean, you’re not in high school anymore. You barely have any time to even look at yourself in the mirror.
Even so, I don’t think that’s an excuse. I’m not trying to criticize you or anything. I’m only trying to open your eyes.
The reason you are not able to update your blog isn’t because of your busy schedule or anything else. It’s because you lack the right productivity skills.
You have to change that. The first step to change is awareness. That being said, here are some of the reasons why you’re failing to produce output:
You’re distracted
Loads of people make time as an excuse for not being able to do something, but the truth is that they just don’t have enough concentration.
When there are lots of things distracting you then you are going to have a hard time writing. writing requires deep thinking. With that, it only follows that you also have to be extremely focused.
There are lots of things that’s keeping you from focusing on your writing. It could be the dogs outside. It could be the television. It could be your phone ringing. It could even be your social media accounts.
Well, I guess what I’m really trying to say here is: turn off all distractions when you’re trying to write.
There should be a lot of things on this but we’re not going to go into that. Why? It doesn’t matter what’s keeping you from focusing because it all revolves around concentration.
Let me give you an example. Not having the time to research your topic could be one of the most probable reasons why you’re not productive with your writing. Can you even imagine writing a single word if you don’t even know a thing about your article subject
Well, I didn’t think so.
What could be the reason why you’re not able to conduct research?
You can say that you’re busy, but I’m pretty sure the reason revolves around distraction.
Maybe you were already getting ready for research, when you suddenly got tempted by the internet. You started opening your Instagram and other social media, and now you can’t stop.
Yeah, that happens all the time.
